Marrying a Man , Raising a Husband
—“Marrying a MAN, Raising a
HUSBAND,” contains ingredients to
capture and retain a global audience. The
title declares a down-to-earth
understanding shared by millions. For the
reason that, when all is said and done, the
key word is Raising- to lift up, elevate,
boost, advance, make better, and improve.

The authors, Farrellinea, Katherine Ross,
and Holly Lashawn, strip bare many of
the myths and closely held secrets that can
make or break the union between two
unsuspecting people; couples traveling
down a road filled with lumps and bumps,
highs and lows, love, affection and
optimism.

The authors’ stories and poems address
the situations married couples are faced
with daily. The dissimilarities in a
relationship are addressed by a foundation
of submitting to certain principles, which
will conquer the deficits and
imperfections…or will it?

This is an important, timely and
entertaining work about everyday people
confronting everyday problems.
Marrying a Man  Raising a Husband
With a loyal and ever-growing YouTube fanbase north of 27,000 subscribers, and more than 1.3 million channel views
under her belt – which makes her one of the ten most popular artists on YouTube of all time – Dondria aka Phatfffat is on
her way to becoming the first-ever pure digitally born artist, the first R&B superstar broken on the Internet.  Dondria is
also the latest signing to legendary producer Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def/Island Urban roster, which will issue her debut
single, “Can’t Stop,” on June 17th, followed by her debut album on July 29th.

“I have never witnessed an Internet-driven phenomenon that even comes close to this in my entire career,” said Mr.
Dupri, who discovered Dondria online.  “We are on the threshold of exposing a naturally gifted singer to the world as a
result of YouTube’s penetration into every corner of society – and that is a genuinely exciting prospect for the future.”

Dondria’s ascent is the result of more than six months of intense communication with Dupri, who encouraged her to
document every step of the creative process. She maintains daily uploaded clips and provides a constant flow of new
songs for her fanbase to see and hear.  Recent visitors to
www.youtube.com/phatfffat have been treated to Dondria’s
powerful covers of hits like Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and SWV’s “Weak.” Dondria’s brand new acappella version of
Chrisette Michelle’s “Love Is You” has already received more than 15,000 views.

“I’m a Capricorn who loves music like a fat kid loves cake!” Dondria confesses on YouTube, in explanation of the
nickname given to her by fans, Phatfffat, a reference to her love of eating (thought she keeps a trim figure).  A side visit to
21-year old Dondria Nicole’s MySpace website at
www.myspace.com/dondiranicolemusic reveals that she was born in
Oklahoma , raised in Texas , came up singing in the First Baptist Church , and majored in Music Education at college.  The
MySpace site, which boasts more than 360,000 profile views and more than 209,000 total plays, features full-length
versions of three finished tracks: “Can I Talk To You,” “Love Affair” featuring Cory, and “I Love You.”

It sure didn't matter yesterday

Prince_Money Don't Matter 2 Night
"Prince fighting his fansites?" I thought. "That is a bit bizarre.!" The purple man
has  always done things his own way. I respect that about him.  I don't
understand what he is losing by having sites that talk about him and help promote
him. For example, www.prince.org was around before Prince's official site. This
is where I would go to find out the latest news about Prince. This is where I
would go to talk about the latest happenings. I understand fighting
bootleggers, but that is not what these sites are about.

I think he wants to control his image, but it belongs to the people now. Most of
the discussion takes place is about the music not the man. Most fans are around
my age don't care who he is with. We don't care when he gets married or
divorced. We care about the music as it relates to our lives. We have grown up
with music and it means something different to us when we listen to it. The Prince
we care about is the artist not the person. I feel we will never really know the
person.

The fansites  getting hit with cease  and deists letters from lawyers is not right. If
you threaten your fans then you see them as your enemies. Hopefully it will  all
come out in the wash.

India.Arie Starts New Record Lable and Signs First Artist Anthony David

The highly acclaimed singer/songwriter India.Arie has entered into a label deal with Universal Republic Records, with
her new label to be called SoulBird Music. India.Arie musical partner and R&B sensation Anthony David will be the
first artist to release an album under the new banner, with his much anticipated major label offering, Acey Deucey,
scheduled for in-store release on June 17.

“I’m excited that Tony will be the first artist to be released on SoulBird,” stated India.Arie, “Tony is a great talent and
one of my oldest friends. I have so many memories with him. Not only did he encourage me to start performing
professionally, but it was Tony who suggested I use my first and middle name as an artist. There was even a time when
he spent his rent money for me to experiment in the studio.”

Describing Anthony’s sound as ‘Bill Withers meets Mos Def,’ India.Arie adds, “ I love his music for how he speaks
from a man’s emotional perspective in relationships, and his views on learning about life as a young man of the hip hop
generation."

Monte Lipman, President and CEO of Universal Republic Records also comments, “India.Arie’s vision and sensitivity
toward artists makes her a natural to launch an enterprise like SoulBird, and Anthony David is the ultimate artist to
christen the label. His tremendous poise and ability to deliver great R&B songs coupled with his great relationship
with India.Arie uniquely positions him as one of our breakthrough acts this year. Everyone at Universal Republic is
excited to be a part of this great new endeavor.”

India.Arie will be actively involved in the stewardship of SoulBird and the promotion and support of Acey Deucy. She
explains that SoulBird (which is another name for a butterfly), “is meant to evoke the Energy of the music rather than
the Style.” She has always rebuffed being stuffed in a box titled “neo-soul” and instead says “in this era SOUL is not a
sound or a color, it’s an intention. James Taylor has it and so does

Al Green, John Mayer has it and so does Anthony David. That’s the kind of music I want SoulBird to represent; music
with intelligence and heart, music that moves people in their souls AND their bodies. Music with wings. “

The cathartic first single from Anthony’s new album, “Words,” is a stirring duet co-written by the duo, mirroring the
enduring friendship and spirit of collaboration between the two artists who have known each other for more than a
decade. “We were friends for 3 years before I ever knew she could sing,” says Anthony. Inspired by her amazing talent,
Anthony would soon begin to nurture his own career, writing the song “Part Of My Life,” which became a cornerstone
of India.Arie’s Grammy nominated (to date she’s scored an incredible 16 Grammy nominations and 2 Grammy wins)
2001 breakthrough album, Acoustic Soul.

Anthony’s new single, which was propelled into the spotlight by Atlanta’s #1 Arbitron-ranked radio station V-103
(WVEE) is from Anthony’s acclaimed independent release, Red Clay Chronicles. “Words” will be delivered to all major
R&B radio stations nationwide on April 15.

A one-time backup singer for India.Arie, the versatile singer/songwriter has released two highly regarded solo albums,
his 2004 debut Three Chords And The Truth, (‘The best record to come out of Atlanta since Usher’s’ raved the Atlanta
Journal Constitution) and the 2006’s Red Clay Chronicles, which featured a who’s who of Atlanta musicians, including
Kiesha Jackson, daughter of Millie Jackson – ‘Pure magic…’ hailed Soul Tracks, remarking that the CD ‘continues
his trajectory as one of the brightest new soul performers to watch.’ Anthony’s SoulBird/Universal Republic debut,
Acey Deucey, will comprise the best of his incredible repertoire from both albums.
